A proposed bill to amend Canada’s Copyright Act

A week ago the minority federal government of Canada, and Industry Minister Jim Prentice, tabled an amendment to the Copyright Act. Entitled Bill C-61, its purpose is to bring Canadian copyright law into compliance with the current WIPO treaty (this despite their being no international legal obligation to implement WIPO - it hasn’t been ratified by Canada). Normally, here at AbleGamers, we only bring you good news, stuff related to gaming or peripherals. However, today we bring you a horrifying story out of Australia, where one boy had his Make-A-Wish stolen from him, literally. The Daily Tribute reported about 14-year-old Zak Touilii who had his recent wish stolen from his home in Australia.
